BKQ Galveston Beach Clean UpDate: Saturday, 10/29
Time: 10am- 2pm Address: 1923 Boddeker Rd, Galveston, TX 77550 BKQ is excited to volunteer with SplashTx to clean up East Beach. We welcome all clubs, individuals, families, and groups of friends to join us as we make a direct impact on the community around us. We will be meeting at 10am and cleaning up until 2pm. We have 2 shifts available, 10am to noon and noon to 2pm. Come experience an awesome day with fresh air, beach sand, and the chance to connect with Mother Nature and others. BKQ is excited to participate in the STEAM Empowerment Summer Program presented by Destined for Empowerment organization. We are looking for program volunteers who are passionate about working with kids, teaching, and providing instruction and guidance. These volunteers will be working with the children and assisting with summer camp lessons and instructions. BKQ will also be providing encouragement and inspiration, for BKQ Hour of Inspiration, to the participants (6- 12 years old) from 07/05- 08/04- Monday- Thursday. Carmichael Elementary Literacy CarnivalMay 24, Tuesday
Time- 4pm Address- 6902 Silver Star Dr, Houston, Texas 77086 We are looking for volunteers to come help at the Carmichael Elementary School Literacy Carnival on Tuesday, May 24, at 4pm. We have been asked to bring volunteers who will help with leading stations. We are excited for another opportunity to show the leaders in the next generation that we are present for them, we are here to support them, and we encourage and motivate them to learn and grow by reading. Home Essential Kits- AssemblyMay 20, Friday
Time- TBD Address- TBD For the month of May, we are collecting donations to purchase kitchen, cleaning, laundry, home supplies, to create "Home Essential Kits" to be distributed to families of domestic violence. Oftentimes, these families must leave all of their belongings in order to ensure their safety. As the Becoming Kings and Queens organization, we are committed to helping these families obtain the necessities to create a safe, clean peaceful KINGDOM home.
We are currently donating to purchase the needed supplies, then we need volunteers to meet to help assemble the kits on Friday, May 20th, (location to be determined). We will be delivering the kits on Saturday, May 28th. Please RSVP below if you would like to volunteer to assemble BKQ Home Essential Kits on May 20th. |

Senior Prom Night- North

4pm to 7pm New Spirit of Life BC 7300 Nordling Rd, Houston, Texas 77076 Come join us as we volunteer to honor and serve those who have worked and invested in our community. Oftentimes, our senior citizens were unable to attend their own high school senior prom due to family circumstances and other life challenges.
We will be serving dinner to the seniors in attendance at Senior Prom Night- North, presented by Destined for Empowerment. Come out and enjoy live entertainment and an awesome opportunity to give back to those whose work paved the way for our greatness today. |

Pleasant BC for the 5th Ward Community Resource Event, to ensure those less fortunate have what they need. We will be assisting to help set up, and break down vendors who are participating to bring much needed health, and rental assistance resources to the 5th Ward Community.

Kujawa Elementary School Book FairOct 12
4:30-6:00pm 7007 Fallbrook, Houston TX. 77086 We are looking for volunteers to join us as we assist at Kujawa Elementary School- Book Fair. Volunteers will read children's books to students and assist as needed with the actual book fair. Reading volunteers work with elementary students to promote reading. They may read books to kids, listen to kids read aloud, or distribute books to students. Reading volunteers promote the activity of reading, vs focusing on teaching reading skills. This is an awesome opportunity to earn community service hours and help create strong leaders in the next generation by encouraging the gift of reading.
